Being a tightwad and a traditionalist, i've always stuck to good old oil for my chains. I work in a workshop and have all the time and facilities to thoroughly clean and lube a chain...so that's what ive always stuck with.
Chains get bloomin dirty with oil, even if you laboriously and thoroughly clean them with rags etc after lubing....so i've found myself sometimes removing, cleaning and lubing a chain twice a week. No problem, but..

Anyway, to the point . Bit the bullet and got some Finish Line Dry lube.

Is it me, or does the drive feel really fluid using Finish Line. Its so smooth. I'm a convert. Although the chain still gets a bit dirty, i dont feel the need to lube it so often.

Any comments anyone ? Has anyone noticed the 'fluid' feeling, or is it my imagination ?

Yes it is fluid....and smooth..see this is why we use the proper stuff.

Spray can or the droper bottles ? - I'm a 'droper bottle' convert these days.

Finish line dry out of a bottle here as well . I did try the "wet" during the winter many moons ago but that is like glue and used to attract all the gunk off the road.

Its out of a dropper bottle. Dont like aerosols....too much waste.

I was a bit concerned at first how long it'd last...and therefore how much it cost, but i've had 3 applications so far (roller by roller)...and its not made much of a dent in the bottle at all.

I'm too lazy to constantly reapply the dry stuff on my road bikes, especially when I get in soaked from a ride in sleet I just want to get warmed up and dried off. I use the wet stuff on my commuter but that does attract the dust as others have said. So I opted for something in between on my road bike chains, Finish Line Pro Road.

used it last summer, doubtless the bottle is around somewhere, lovely stuff

it vanishes pretty bloody quick when it rains though, even on an hour commute in the rain the chain would start sounding rough

I tried dry and got a lot of wax build up on the chain. I mow use a chain specific oil, a good wipe dry with a lint free rag works wonders! And my chain likes it too.
