Finding people

I think a great feature would be if you could click on properties in your profile, and it would show you other members who had the same thing.

So I could click on Genesis Croix de Fer in "My ride/s", and it would show me anyone else who had the same thing in that field. Likewise for Location.

Thoughts?

I think there would need to be a drop down menu/s, with common choices (for bikes, locations, interests) or people might word things slightly differently and the search may not hit the spot, eg. Genesis Croix de Fer would not return the same results as simply Croix de Fer?

Not sure if some intelligence could be built into it, to pick 'close matches' though - presumably it could. As for the usefulness of this feature... not something I have particulary longed for myself but each to their own.

You're right about the logic of the word matching, that would be tricky to get 100% right, and with so many different makes of bike drop down lists would be a nightmare.
