Hello

Saw one of these mounted on the seatpost of a bike. Thought it was a new type of bendy pump until I saw the on/off switch.

Are they any good? Any advantages over LED lights? They look a bit gimmicky, but I could be wrong (I haven't seen one switched on before).

Anyone got one?

They are very good imo.
Nice and bright without blinding anyone behind you, which can be a pain on rides such as the FNRttC's.
I use 2, 1 on each seat stay.
When flashing the batteries seem to last forever.

However they can be a little susceptible to heavy rain. I remedy this by putting a little grease around the seals.

Agree with the above ... they have a wide viewing angle and can be bent too in wide angles ... however as ianrauk says they do seem to be susceptible to water ingress so that Mr Summerdays makes sure the switch is uppermost (IIRC).

These lights are great! I bought a pair from Wiggle and haven't had any problems so far.

I have only used them in the steady mode and they still last forever, give great allround visibility and drivers can't help but see you.

Although the pictures show them mounted to seat stay's and clothing, when I read the instructions they said that they were not to be mounted to seat stay's or clothing and must definately not be bent!!

I mount mine to the seat stays

Other than that no probs.

Incidentally - can be attached to the rear of a helmet as a high light source, and almot any tube or strut on the bike.

Extremely versatile and reliable with a long battery life
