No Vickster, I've got the TCR not the Defy... I'm not quite sure if the significant difference between the TCR and Defy is just the frame material or whether the geometry is quite different as well. All I can say is that I've had a couple of Giants and I'm a fan, but I'm pretty sure I'd love a Felt equally. I think they're all bound to pretty good bikes at that sort of price. Go and check some out and have a sit! See how it feels.

I've got a Felt Z75 disc and a Giant Defy 1. I use the Felt primarily when roads are a bit wet just for the disc brakes.
I like both but find the Felt more of a get up and go fast bike compared to the Defy which I prefer for longer summer rides.
Weight wise there is not much in it. The brakes are better on the Felt than the 2014 model Defy rim and work nearly as well in the wet as they do in the dry but still nothing like the braking power of hydraulics and still suffer fade when descending long hills.

Whereabouts are you Mark ?

No experience of the Felt but I've had a defy since 2012, I upgraded the stock wheels pretty quickly to some shimano c24's but apart from that I've no complaints. For me it's light enough, fast off its mark and comfy on the longer runs.

If you can get a shot on both see what you prefer out of the two
