For the second time in a month i managed to topple over after forgetting to unclip on my drive.

Not only is it the weirdest sensation knowing you are going down but cant stop it but it takes so long.

Still a few bruises depite the slow motion descent

Do you drive a car ?
How often do stop without depressing the clutch ?

Once you get used to the idea that, just like when stopping in a car, you need to do something with you foot, it will probably become more intuitive. :okay:

Probably the best helpful and close analogy that I have come across. I do recall the clutch was pretty much the fear factor when someone wants to learn driving.

I do drive both a car and a geared scooter so should know better. I think its my mind switching off because the ride is over. Id never go back to normal pedals on my road bike though.

Because you enjoy being bruised? One of the nicest things about cycling is that your mind can switch off and you're not faffing with junk like clutches

Haha, me too - was just about to weigh in with advice on wedges and Danish pie cuts etc etc

My little sis just got a road bike with SPDs and had her first clipless moment a little while ago... I guess that feedback's the quickest way to learn to do it properly though! Glad you're all right, it'll soon become second nature
