I had my new chain put on before i went on holiday, and i went for a KMC instead of my normal Sunrace chain to try the KMC. I tought the KMC was heavier when i first rode it, but didnt think anything of it.
Anyway, just cleaned the chain(really needed doing) and oiled it, and the grease already on the chain seemed really sticky. Managed to wipe it all off, and get it nice and clean, then put some oil on it. Wiped the wheels on the rear mech aswell to get all the crap off them. After i had done that, i spun the pedals back and the chain felt heavier(didnt spin as easy) which i thought was strange. Wiped it all down, then put some more oil on, spun the pedals back then got rid of the excess(how i normally oil the chain) and it still felt heavy. Even when i'm pedaling forward in the easiest gear it feels heavy.
I took the chain off the chainring and spun the pedals and you can hear them spin, a bit noisy i reckon but i could be wrong. Still they span easily.
Put the chain back on and looked at it all.
Is it that i'm feeling the difference in chains? Is something wrong on the bike? Or is it because i've been riding fixed, and done some long rides on the fixed(not sure aout that though, would of thought the Giant would run just as smooth?)
Any suggestions?
