So what sort of training do you do for:

1. sprinting/power
2. lactate threshold
3. VO2 max

I try to get one sprint session in a week.....6 sprints 200-300 metres long with around 5 minutes rest in between each one. For lactate threshold, I do the weekly time trial, then ride home pretty hard, usually after a 10 min or so rest. For VO2 max, I find road racing good enough at the moment. I would possibly see better results if the training was a bit more specific to be honest, but oh well!
What do you like to do?

Chaingang once a week. Race twice a week. Job done.

Better still, race 3 times a week.

1. none - I do TTs only (as I can't sprint for toffee).
2. 1h continous threshold and just under, 2x20 or 3x15 at threshold and just over, 2h hard tempo
3. not much (vo2 work has little effect on me). A few sessions of 5-6 x 2min hill repeats embedded in 1h+ of hard tempo.
