I do the Maratona Dolomiti every year and at the top of the Passo Pordoi climb (33 hairpins uphill from Arabba) a very unusual sculpture exists that's carved out of the rock and it is of Fausto Coppi. It's a great relief to see him after a climb like that, as you can imagine!

Found out there's a new book by William Fotheringham on the Italian legend out soon.

Anyone know any more?
Not a lot, although the title is "Fallen Angel: The Passion of Fausto Coppi".

Pre-orderable on Amazon, publish date 4th June (currently).

I'd like to see an English language book on Gino Bartali, at some point - seems to have been an interesting character as well.
