I want to buy a bike and fit Schwalbe Fat Frank tyres to it. But I don't know what bike will fit these as they are pretty big.

The measurements are:

ETRTO Size
26" 60-559 26 x 2.35 / (60-559)

Any ideas as to what bike I should buy for this?

Cheers.

Your best bet would probably be to go down to your LBS (not halfords!) and take a look at the bikes and see if there would be enough space, you could also ask the people at your LBS what they think.

Sorry, no advice on what bike would best fit the tyres, but please indulge me: why are you buying a bike to fit some tyres?

Certainly an unusual concept and one I cannot fathom.

Without mudguards they will fit on some utility / hybrids...

the bike in the picture is a friends bike, its an unbranded dutch style bike, the front tyre needed slight adjustments to the forks for clearance.

Big Apple tyres are essentially the same and come in a smaller 2" as well.

The are great tyres... very nice ride ;)

It might be an unusual thing but it's what I intend to do. So has anyone actually got any ideas of frames / bikes that these tyres would fit around?

Sorry to veer O/T slightly but, out of interest, what is the benefit of such huge city tyres?
