Got a Topeak Joe Blow track pump, which is excellent. The head started leaking air so I bought a refurb kit off Wiggle. Just fitted that and the air is still leaking and now I realise it's actually leaking from around the lever. Phoned Topeak and spoke with James who explained that the O ring around the lever has gone. He is sending me a replacement head FOC and even agreed to include a football inflator. He says they have loads of bits and pieces lying around from other pumps that have been returned or damaged and cannibalised so he didn't want any money.

Great service.

I had the same problem too with a Joe Blow Sport, so bought a spares kit for a Joe Blow Max II from Wiggle. It appears that the valve heads are identical although the original head screw cap appears to be slightly deeper, but still screws on. sjscycles sells these parts online: http://www.sjscycles...eads-prod22840/ and the head screwhttp://www.sjscycles.co.uk/topeak-topeak-spare-outer-standard-head-screw-cap-(deep)-prod22831/ . After replacing these parts the pump still leaked and I also thought that the O-ring on the lever maybe at fault since it appeared to be loose. On closer inspection I found that this wasn't the case. The cause of the leak was a broken piece of plastic that the lever fits into; this is continuous with the presta/schrader valve on either end. When you push the lever from the centre position to the unused valve end it pulls the used valve out to expose its air inlet and at the same time blocking off the air inlet of the unused valve. To save wear and tear on this vital component is would be best to not push the lever any further to and from the centre position unless you are using both valve ends. Oh, and who where is you write to ? info@extrauk.co.uk
