Fake SD Cards - Be Aware (Amazon UK)

I've ordered 2 SD cards from 2 different sellers on Amazon's marketplace. Both have developed faults. Checking into it now it appears that the two sellers are the same person (same PO box). I've checked the card I've currently got and it's a fake one according to that site.

I've got a phone number for amazon (0800 496 1081) and I will phone them tomorrow about the fake cards being sold.

I was initially a bit skeptical about both cards as they didn't come with any packaging. Hopefully I'll get a full refund for this card and then I'll just buy straight from play.com.

My local Currys are doing 4gb sandisk ultraII packaged in the 'Ducati' packs for £14.95 - so I got one last week

Half the price they are asking for the regular branded ones.

I know you can get them cheaper than that on ebay, but no card, no pics so I bit the bullet. No idea if the ebay ones are kosher though.

Always avoid private sellers for stuff like this, the majority are fake, same with ebay. A lot of sellers don't even know they're fake though!
Best off paying a few squid more and still getting it pretty cheap from play, direct from amazon etc!

You cannot buy direct from Amazon...only through a partnered shop.

I've told Amazon. They've put a claim in for my money and they're going to investigate the accounts who sold the dojy cards and hopfully shut them down.

I've bought my new card straight from play.com now...hopefully I won't have anymore problems
