Some f*cker let my tyres down tonight in Manchester, so I had to walk home, cursing at the top of my voice all the way. Ok, I had no pump but Christ. What can you do about this???

Sorry, I can't do anything, I live in Edinburgh and Manchester is maybe a bit far for me to travel to start any investigation.

Seriously though, the easy answer is to carry a pump. I won't leave the house without one, or a puncture repair kit. If you do then you better get used to long walks and cursing at the top of your voice. Think yourself lucky they left you with a bike, you must have a decent lock.
