It's BRIGHT! 
And quite small and light for the ammount of light it kicks out.
Don't shine it indoors when you first get it though because it shows up every smear on glass and any bit of dust!
The beam is surprisingly wide and certainly lights up the road ahead. It even has a dipped beam function and the flashing mode is more like a blip than a flash as the light is constant.
It might seem a bit expensive but for me it's well worth the outlay and as it's rechargable there's no batteries to worry about.
