Looks like he's had a training crash in Belgium. Latest is he may have broken his collarbone.
Seems like a stupid accident where he hit the door of a postal van. Now I was never a particularly good cyclist but I was told quite early on to always give parked vehicles a door width when passing especially post and delivery vehicles as you could be sure of one thing they would be getting out, a lesson I learned very early on and even took with me when I progressed to motorbikes.

Hopefully it's not as bad as early indication predict and he'll be OK for the start of the season.

By coincidence, a postman jumped out of his van without looking as I was riding towards him yesterday! Fortunately, I had allowed for that possibility. It still gave both of us a fright though!

Fingers crossed for a quick recovery.

Barnet,
Fortunately if it is only a collarbone injury, there is plenty of time before the start of the season.

Wasn't shoulder blade one of his injuries in that big Basque crash earlier this year?

There were so many injuries I kind of lost track.

Yea Remco was one of the more fortunate ones as he got up and walked away....with a broken collarbone.

Poor guy, I really don’t know how these riders get back and do it again. It must start to take an edge off performances.
