I did the event last year (it was in early August then) and it was a good event although Hardknott Pass defeated me and i had to put a foot down a couple of times. So this year i'm going back to make a second attempt - hoping the wind and rain will have shrunk the gradient somewhat because my hillclimbing and overall fitness is pretty similar to last year!
