Evans (Gatwick) Bike Clearance 24/25th September

Just a heads-up for those that might be in the market for a new bike or N+1. Evans are clearing out bikes that don't quite make it to the sales floor due to slight damage/shop soiling or ex-demo bikes. There could be a bargain (e.g. Dawes Galaxy for nearly half-price)

I have no connection with Evans by the way, but am always popping into this store for one thing or another.

it was the biggest waste of time ever! I went a couple of years ago and had a HUGE white tent with hundreds of bikes and hundreds of accessories, in the field opposite the shop. We got there first thing in the morning and there was a LONG queue to get in and they let in two or a group at the time. They had 3-4 tills and a few work stands to give a once over to every bike sold. You had to wait about 20 min for collection.
This time around there was a garden gazebo in the car park. About 30 bikes the most and 1/3 were downhill MTB over £2k. Hugely disappointed sales were just about like on their website. Accessories almost non existent. If anyone got a bargain must have been a fluke!

Sorry to hear that. I went a couple of years ago as well and got a decent Gore jacket and other bits & bobs. Saved a fair bit and still using what I bought even now. I suppose you have to get there really early to get the best stuff. I must admit most of the bikes seemed to be MTBs, but that might suit some folk. The list didn't mention accessories either now you mention it. I just assumed there would be at least some this time too.
