Evans (FWE) handlebar bag. Clamps.

Good evening one and all,

The good news is that I can now use my favourite Evans own brand handlebar bag, again. The bad news is that the only clamps I seem to have will not fit my 31.8mm bars.

The only option I seem to have is to buy a new mounting system, which seems ridiculous, or a new bag to get the choice of clamps.

I have searched the internet but can only find Rixen Kaul Replacement Klickfix Handlebar Clamps http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/rixen-kaul-replacement-klickfix-handlebar-clamps/rp-prod47432 but I'm not sure these are the same as mine (photo attached).

Any ideas?

Rixen and Kaul make both 'normal' and oversized clamps (which fit 31.8) - i CAN ONLY GUESS THAT THEY WILL FIT (BUT THEY MIGHT NOT). For a couple of quid might be worth the gamble?

If anyone else encounters this conundrum, then the Rixen/Kaul will not fit the Evans own brand. They do not have a groove in them, needed for attachment. So it's a new bag or no bag.
