The problem is that he didn't really do anything that they can prove...
As long as they can't show/proof that his (natural) levels dropped due to an illegal substance, I don't think it's worth speculating.
You could even argue that he is almost following the normal required action (something of 8 days not racing), since he rode only about 20 min before stepping out of the race (and I am assuming he won't ride much else before the Tour).

(Although the start of this thread should be kicking off at least a weeks discussion now and some future back-references to this item when Rolland - who again hasn't shown much during the year - will be top 10 in the Tour again )

Well, we all know about 'health tests' and what that really means. That's exactly what the UCI used to do with EPO indicators whent there was no direct evidence. Let's not kid ourselves here. At the very least, Rolland is now going to be racing under a cloud for a while and I think will be targeted for testing quite a lot over the next year or so.

I'm not sure in this case and EPO was a different fettle of kish. I'd be disappointed if Roland was guilty of Cortisone abuse and slightly surprised that anyone would think they could get away with it on a regular basis these days.

Yeah... one would think so, right?

BTW... 3 likes for a Voeckler ban... c'mon that's too harsh ... he does at least bring a bit of spice to races
(and he does catch a lot flies and bugs out of the air for the riders behind him) :wahhey::hungry:

The 'Likes' are more in amusement at Monty's unrelenting hatred of Tommy V^_^

A like doesn't necessarily indicate endorsement of an opinion... But I must say that I find Wee Tommy V increasingly irritating so in this instance, it does.
