When giving the bike a bit of TLC I noticed some pretty nasty ware on the rear tyre.
I'm riding a Trek Valencia I'm about 13 stone and have the tyres pumped up between 90 and 120 (maximum rated) running botranger hardcase pu@cture proof tyres.
This worried me though, they've probably done about 1100 miles in six months. Seems there are some quite deep scratches, probably caused by a ped related emergency stop on a bad road surface.
My question is should I just replace them, are they okay, is this level of ware normal? And, if I am to replace them, should I go for marathons?
