Despite being pro-cycling's most boring tour, we should probably have a thread about it... and Wiggo's riding.

In the prologue yesterday he was 4th - Chavanel took it followed by Farrar and Boonen.

Is it surprising that Chavanel could beat Wiggo over 4 km? Maybe he's not full bore after the tour and his new body isn't so suited to short sprints.

p.s. The Tour of Qatar is surely giving the Eneco a run for it's money in the boring stakes?

That's true, in fact it was so boring I had forgotten it entirely...

Sprinters tend to do well in prologues don't they? Hushovd won one in the Tour a few years ago iirc.

Yes, that's why I was surprised an all rounder like SC could beat pursuiters like Wiggo and the sprinters too.
