About 15 or 16 years ago my dads Peugeot bike was stolen while he was at work, and a friend of his gave him this bike, but it just sat at the back of our garage ever since. I dug it out recently and gave it a clean and polish. My dad said it originally had yellow mudguards but that they crumbled apart. Its also missing some decals. After cleaning it up I have identified all the parts as follows:

32c x 630 Tai Yung tyres - MADE IN TAIWAN

How much do you think its worth? Everything is original except the bar tape and probably the tyres. I replaced the original Fibrax 269 brake pads with new ones (they still make them). The rear derailleur only shifts into the middle 2 sprockets, but I gave it a 15 minute test ride manually lifting the chain to the biggest sprocket (20 teeth) and it rode nicely.

Mate of mine bought a Lincoln Imp a couple of years ago for less than £100. Condition was similar to the one in the OP.
I've had a ride on it and can't say it was anything special, in my opinion. My mate concurs.
Nice looking bike, though.

Why would you want to sell something so lovely?

must admit i do agree

Family heirloom, why sell it? Worth as much as a used iPhone but priceless

Shaun

Autosol for everything. The headbadge was especially dull, the calipers are aluminium and were a dull greyish, I was surprised how shiny they got. You can get autosol for about £4 in wilkinsons.
