Elite Mag Trainer - arghhhhh!

Does anybody know if the Elite Mag Trainer should fit a Boardman (hybrid) or vice versa. I've eventually got bike and trainer in same room - stupidly recycle the box last week. I just cannot get the damned thing to fit my Boardman - three reasons so far:

1. The quick release lever seems not to fit the trainer's mechanism

2. The gear cable almost broken as it was caught between mechanisms and is in way of attachment. Bending is a bit dodgy.

3. The rear pannier holder thing's 'arms' seem to be in the way of the central attachments as well

Would appreciate if anybody could enlighten me whether it's me doing something wrong or does it simply not fit.......??

1. Your turbo should have come with a skewer that is designed specifically for use on the turbo. If it didn't you'll probably need to get hold of one - this for example.

2. Operator error? You mean the gear cable on your bike or the one for changing resistance on the turbo?

3. I guess it wasn't designed for bikes with pannier racks.


The turbo should definitely fit your bike with the correct skewer and with the pannier rack removed.
