I saw them at the York Rally. Talked to the lovely couple who have set up the charity to recycle them and help the African community that the bikes go to.

On a more serious note, and not a criticism

There was a similar charity some years ago (Re-cycle?) renovating ex PO bikes

The problem was complexity

In third world countries and especially in remote areas hub gears and derailleur gears are a major issue when it comes to spares and repairs
