Elbow pain

Hi
After successfully getting rid of troublesome knee pains by upgrading to flat pedals, I know have pain in the elbow. Mostly on one side (the left), probably 2 to 3 times less painful on the right elbow. Is that old age setting in prematurely? (I'm under 40). Could that be due to the bike not being set up correctly (and ironically I spent a fair bit of cash for a bikefit session with Corridori before the winter).
I've shortened the stem and put one with a 10 or 15 degree angle. I have also just recently turned the handlebars up a little bit.
I would be very interested to hear here if anyone has ever suffered this kind of pain from cycling and how to remedy to it.
Many thanks.

Hi Christophe
I am having exactly the same problem. Painful elbows, especially when I flex my arm.
I await your responses with interest.

I may need to just shorten stem

Thanks for the link. I read some of it.
I now have lesser pains, but in both left and right elbow.
I have levelled the handlebars down slightly. I am also trying to change my riding position on the bars very regularly when riding and also stretching and relaxing my arms.
I have moved the saddle back a little, as it was as far forward as it could have gone.
All of that seems to have helped a little.
I am now thinking about lowering the saddle by a small amount. I have noticed that I cannot pedal with my heel on the pedals. Does that matter at all?

If elbow pain does continue, I might book a fitting session with Cyclefit in Covent Garden. I will keep you updated. What else should I look in order to get rid of it?
