Due to house move (down sizing), I'm reluctantly having to sell my cycle collection.

The machine you see in the image here, is my circa 1905 Chater-Lea No; 8 'lady-back' tandem. I've owned it for about 14 months. It came from a barn in Northamptonshire, where it has been stored for over 50 years.
Little info was available from the previous owner, other than he's father bought it in the 30s.

I have displayed it at various events during my tenure. It has always been admired!!.

Details

Maker: Chater-Lea
Model: No;8 'lady-back'
Frame size(s); 23ft, & 19bk
Wheel size: 26"
Gearing: single speed fixed
Brakes: single front 'pull-up' stirrup

I will be very sad to see this beauty go, but lack of room dictates it must.

Asking price.....£450.00 071.jpg

Does it go?

It would look good with new leather saddles and matching leather tape on those bars.

Yes, it can be ridden. Just needs pedals fitting, & away you go (I do have pedals). Both the saddles are usable!!
