I’ve had this bike since 2016 and it had quite a bit of use until my garage became a Recumbent Zone in 2020. It was the last of my diamond frame bikes and I hung on to it as I’d had a lot of experiences on it in the time that I used it intensively -sentiment, really, and the fact that it rides really nicely loaded and unloaded, on road and mild off road. It’s a very stable bike, and the pedalling effort feels very connected to the back wheel. It was marketed as a tourer but would make a good commuter as well as a general purpose bike.
It has a versatile range of gearing having a traditional 3 X 9 set up. It’s had some use, with the expected odd scrape and furry fastener but has plenty of life left in it yet. It doesn’t have top of the range equipment but it’s perfectly functional and useable. The frame strikes a good balance and could form the basis for some upgrading if a buyer felt so inclined, but it’s perfectly usable as it is. I could imagine fitting BB7s if you needed the extra stopping power, for example, but I’ve not found the BB5s lacking. They should fit straight on.
Sad to see it go but it’s better being ridden by someone who will appreciate it than sadly languishing in my garage.
Not sure what to ask really with the state of the market but I’ll put it out at £200.00 and see what happens.
Buyer collects or can arrange a meet.
