I don't - I have a battered old stand which was donated to me by a pal when he emigrated.

My stand has a support under the bottom bracket which takes most of the weight of the bike. I wonder about clamping the top tube the way that ebay stand does. I can imagine that some very lightweight tubing might not take too kindly to the force that the clamp has to concentrate in such a small area. I'm sure that it would be ok on bikes built with thicker tubing though.

It rotates so it can clamp to the seat post or one below that whatever it is called.
That would be more to my liking.

The seat tube?!

Some tubing is so thin that you can dent it by squeezing it between a thumb and a finger - worryingly thin that, I would say! It would be way too easy to dent your bike just leaning it against something.

£100? Not mine. I bought the cheapest one that Ribble sell a few years ago, (they still sell the same one and for about the same price I think).

IIRC its was about £50. Still dearer than fleabay I'll grant you, but worth every penny IMO as it's superbly made.

FWIW my best bike has very thin alu tubing, (CAAD10), and I've never had an issue clamping the top tube.

[EDIT] THIS is the one I bought. It always get recommended when people start a 'what workstand' thread. I personally know a few others that bought the same stand and all are very happy with it.
I have no doubt it will outlast my cycling career.

FYI - I also use an old piece of foam packaging inside the clamp, but I'd do that with any stand TBH just to protect the paintwork from scratches.

I would clamp my CAAD5 by the top tube too, but I have heard some tubing described as being as easy to dent as an empty beer can so that definitely would not be suitable!
I've edited my earlier post now to include a link to the actual stand I have. The clamp looks similar to the fleabay one, and I think if someone was stupidly ham fisted they probably could dent a tube, (goes for any clamp arrangement I guess), but IME you don't need to clamp it uber tight, and especially with the foam padding I also use I don't have it very tight at all, yet it still holds the bikes perfectly well without movement.

I've just recalled actually, when I was restoring a couple of old Peugeot frames I did have them clamped pretty tight, one especially whilst I was grinding down the shifter bosses and braze ons, granted those frame was steel but they were perfectly fine.

I find if I clamp the seat tube it off sets the balance of the stand a bit too much for my liking. I've done it, and it works, but the top tube and a smidge of mechanical sympathy with the clamp works a treat.
