Hi - I've just put my Garmin Edge 705 up for auction on eBay (its item number 200386990115), starting price is only £199, and it comes with both the heart rate and cadence sensors (the latter is normally extra). It also comes with the latest Garmin City Navigator NT 2010 maps on DVD (so routes can be planned in advance using the Garmin Mapsource software on yoru computer) and on a 2Gb microSD card (NB: the maps are registered to this unit), so the unit is complete and ready to be used. NB: most Edge 705 map bundles have the older 2009 maps and only on SD card, so you can't plan routes in Mapsource on your PC
This items is not new, but I've only had it a few weeks. It is in mint condition and includes all original packaging and has only been used a few times. Its also includes a high-quality FX-ANTIREFLEX-PROTECTION Anti-reflective Screen Protector (fitted as soon as the Edge 705 was out of the box, so the screen has no scratches).
I'm selling the item because a friend has just sold me his Garmin eTrex Vista HCx GPS (which he no longer wants), and for the type of cycling I like to do (long, multi-day/week touring), I now realise this is more suited, as has 1000 waypoints, vs. 100 for the Edge 705, and replacable AA batteries rather than the built in rechargable Lithium battery in the Edge. However, the Vista HCx does not have the cadence or heart rate sensor of the Edge 705, nor the "Virtual Partner" training facilities and integration with Garmin Training Centre software - if you want not just a GPS, but something to help with your training too (which I don't really need), the Edge 705 is definitely streets ahead in this regard. Horses for courses, as they say... Its also much less bulky and looks far cooler than then Vista HCx!
