I think I will be changing my bike around March of next year when I will have about £1,500 to spend. Between now and then I will be looking closely at what is on the market both new and used. What I will be looking for is a touring bike than can be used as a commuter and for the odd bit of rough track. It will be a step through frame (Arthur Ritus will not go away) Hub gears because I fancy them and disk brakes because they look simpler and stop quicker than other sorts. It will have to have a rack on as I will be going up to the North of Scotland in May and probably Butterfly bars but I will take advice on this. Any comments welcome. Oh by the by I will 68 then and I still regard my self as a walker (Arthur Ritus has stopped the 20 mile ten peaks days) rather than a cyclist even though I have done over2k miles this year.
