Can someone recommend some dynamo lights?
They need to have that feature where they stay lit for a few minutes even when not pedalling, and be compatible with a hub dynamo. If there's a set of front and rear, that's great, otherwise just the front.

Cheers.

Bang for buck then the B&M IQ Cyo 40 or 60(40 gives more nearfield and less range and vice versa) as a front light and one of the Toplight range as a rear if you have a rack to mount it to. Luxury then the Schmidt Edelux or Supernova E3 for the front, rear lights are pretty much all ok.

My first set was the IQ Cyo 60 and the Toplight Plus rear, then I went on to a Supernova Triple front and Supernova rear. The Triple is recommended for offroad only as it's too bright for the road...don't believe all you read. I find it just fine for the road and wouldn't consider it enough for offroad. Basically the road version has a beam cutoff and the offroad doesn't but I prefer the non cutoff beam angled down for road use as I like plenty of light splash around the bike. If I was buying another Cyo I'd buy the 40 rather than the 60 for the same reason.

As for rear lights, I'd not bother with another dynamo one as battery options are plenty good enough.

But it's all moving pretty fast and my purchasing decision was made a year ago.

For what it is worth I am currently running a Busch & Muller Lumotec ICQ Cyo Senso Plus on the front of my Surly Long Haul Trucker and on the rear I have a Busch & Muller Toplight LIne Plus. They are powered off a SON 28 dynamo.

The have the stand-light feature you are seeking plus they are senso lights which means that if set to senso function they will come on when the light unit detects a low level of ambient light. I particular like this feature as it saves me stopping to turn on the rear light.

In terms of light output etc I find them more than adequate for my needs on this bike (touring and commuting) and the Lumotec ICQ Cyo has a good spread of beam which does not blind oncoming cyclists and vehicles. Another good point in my view.

I have IQ Cyos on a number of my bikes. Fantastic lights; more than bright enough even from a 2.4watt dynamo hub for use on the road. Too bright, according to some drivers (who usually drive around with 100+ watts of light blazing away...)
