Can anyone help me work out why motorists are banned from using mobile phones when driving but cyclists aren't?
Having real trouble working it out...

Got to be honest, I'm in total agreement. There are tons around here who ride no handed on their phones, not even looking at the road (or the pavement they are usually riding on), if they hit someone/something because they weren't paying attention they'd be the first to moan and look for a bit of compo.
If you are using the road, you are honour bound to be in control of your mode of transport, be it a car, bike, motorbike, bus, lorry (you get the picture).
