I will for a few short hours next week be back within range of a pile it high sell it cheap sporting goods store. The cycle kit is Dunlop branded and i just wanted to see if anyone else had any experience to share.

While not expecting top quality have others found the stuff to be value for money or one ride and in the bin. My own experience has been a bit of both: a pair of baggies which have the most comfortable pad of any shorts I own (but this probably says more about my other shorts:o) and a long sleeve jersey on which the zip is rather dodgy.

Dunlop sports is owned by the guy who runs Sports Direct, it's just a name now. I think they still make tyres though, but thats a separate company.

I have some Dunlop gloves, they do the job and have lasted 6 months, OK for a fiver.

Not seen any other cycling clothing in Sports Direct yet though, just cheap bikes and accessories.

Aldi seem to be ok when they have stuff in, not top quality, but I think a little bit better than Lidl.

Decathlon stuff is about the best value I've found, tops and shorts from under £10.

Thanks for this. The shop in question is Sport World in Brussels. The link to sport direct would explain why from time to time there are racks of England rugby jerseys:smile:.

Certaibly in Brussels the dunlop range covers shorts lycra and baggy, tights jerseys both short and long sleeve and the gloves you mentionned. I should really head out to decathlon but that is on the other side of town and I will not have time.

I was in sports.direct today and tried on a pair of full fingered Dunlop gloves. I put them back on the rack quite sharpish as I had pulled the wrist band off!
