How do you carry a D lock and a cable lock on a road bike, I dont fancy a back pack and I suspect I will end up braining (if I have a brain that is :headshake:) myself using a messenger bag.

I am thinking of cutting and stiching an old messenger bag and fitting velcro or buckle straps to fit behind the saddle like an old style saddle bag, I ma sure I can fabricate something to fit on the post to stop the bag rubbing on the wheel.

Your help (or derision ) please

A U-Lock mount such as this:

Can be mounted in multiple ways on the bike, such as in the main triangle. It's only on the stem in this pic as the bike is a folder. Alternatively you could use some Lock-Blocks on the bars, as below.

On my bikes with a rack, I have some big re-usable tree ties that I use to strap it on.

On my bikes without a rack, I use the frame holder which comes with the D Locks to strap them on the seat post but pointing backwards so they sit alongside the rear triangle.

I've also got an Abus Bordo, which is only Sold Secure Bronze but is damned convenient and it seems large enough to dissuade too much attention.

Me too. Looks a bit like a poor mans attempt at triathlon bars

I carry mine in whatever bag I've with me but it's all very unsatisfactory. It's about time science/design/engineering boffins got together and produced a flexible, lightweight, unbreakable material for locks.
