O.k. I've managed to break the drop out on my MTB.. Bike is a GT Agressor XC3.. I've looked around on t'internet to try and replace it, but as this bike has an "exclusive retailer", I think I'm gonna be forced to go to the dreaded Halfords tomorrow...

I'm currently riding with a dropout froma different bike that I grinded and filed down to shape... just means that the deraileurererer splings off every time i undo the QR..

take a look on chain reaction and ebay - there are loads of different types and it is highly likely that GT used the same design on more than one bike maybe.

As an aside, it is totally stupid that there are so many different designs - they do the same thing so it isn't rocket science to design a bike so that one or two would cover all bikes??? surely?

my thoughts exactly...... looking through spares in the workshop, we must have at least ten frame specific dropouts... all for bikes made before the millenium though..
