hello all i have just received my ribble frame today for a winter bike im building when ordering the frame it stated i needed an internal 1/18 campag headset i choose not to buy the ribble headset and instead ordered a richey headset from chain reaction the problem is the headset doesnt fit its about a mm to large in diameter i also tried the fsa headset from my other bike and this is the same,should all campag size headsets fit this frame or is there differences between makes thankyou

"Campagnolo headsets" is used to descibe headsets that contain bearings which are angled at 45° Inner & outer (45x45) and have a diameter of 41.8.

Others have a slightly different mix of angles and different diameters.

I'd measure the bearings as either Ribble have got the description wrong or you have another type of headset bearing(it may say the dimensions on the bearings).

Incidentally the "drop in" term is quite accurate - the bearings don't fit snugly into the diameter of the headtube - there's usually a 1mm gap - so your bearings are 2mm too big for the job.

What Ribble model is it BTW?
