Look at midge or Mary bars. Used both but preferred the midge with drop levers and cable bb7s.

Kind of a chunky CX bike.

Possibly bar ends or butterfly bars?

I have my bar ends angled slightly down and backwards , they give a different, more droppy feel than the usual cowhorn set up with no less control or comfort

As long as I breathe, I attack.
You can get bar ends shaped like drops , i have a pair in the parts bi for a later project although if i had the time and money i would like to turn my subway into a drop beastie .

Think about brake levers and gear shifters, if you change them for drop bar items, they might not be compatible with existing derailleurs and brakes. Not like a few years ago.

Thanks to all who replied to my post.

The bar sizes are different so you would need different brake and gear levers, I changed my racer to a hybrid last winter and this was the stumbling block .

Rather then change the bars i bought a pair if drop bar extensions from origin8

Then you can keep same levers etc etc

Generally speaking retro fitting road style handlebars is an expensive proposition; new levers, usually new shifters and the issue of mismatched cable pulls (i.e. cable disc brakes usually have long pull brake levers, as does linear pull rim brakes). Even if you use travel agents it can be trouble -or so my friend said who went that route and gave up on them. You'll also potentially have to add a new front derailleur too as road and mtb gear shifters have slightly different pulls (at least with Shimano that is).

Well, you get the picture -it's usually a lot of expense and faffing around. Can be done (I've done it) but probably not a high value proposition.
