Probably a scheduled rest period yes. Probably a pillock in the car, yes. Rhythm Thief will know better, but truckers can get fined if they dont adhere to breaks iirc.

Got to laugh at the irony of it. Trucker(s) stop to have thier break so they aren't tired and a danger on the road....motorist who uses same roads honks to try and wake/annoy them. Got to love the thinking process of some people.

The time on the video shows 12.48 so i expect this is the first of a daily rest period of 45 minutes which has to be taken after 4.5hrs of driving time so they are probably not sleeping, i used to close my curtains purely for some privacy when parked at the side of the road, the other option that is used alot at that time of day is that if the traffic is very heavy and progress is slow on the road then we would pull over and take a break or have a kip and wait for the traffic to ease off and continue on to make the most of the driving time available as most drivers like to get home on a friday night after spending 5 days and 4 nights in the truck

I think you hit the nail on the head there with the words "thinking process".
The public at large appears these days to be disproportionately full of bell-ends who are incapable of rational thought. The bioelectrical disturbance that flickered through their vestigial brainstem probably went something like this…

"Durrr. There's a lorry driver having a kip. It'll be really brave of me to wake him up as I speed past, and Sharon from the chippy will probably fancy me loads more once I've demonstrated how 17 I am."

Alternatively, this mental aberrance may have been the purely coincidental result of listening to "Boom-Tish" music at arena-like levels whilst the bloodstream was still infested with chemicals after imbibing Red Bull and eating McDonalds. Plays havoc with your biochemistry I reckon.
