Dr Sludge Self Sealing Inner Tubes

I found the problem with these (as a type - not the brand) was that larger holes failed to seal and the 'gunk" prevented patches from sticking on.

If you ever have to deflate the tyre is is messy as this stuff is sprayed out and then obstructs the valve.

I used slime and sludge in tubes in 700c x 35 continental travel contact at 70 ish psi and i still get flats. That said i have never been stuck and unable to get home or to garage to pump tire up and then get home. When i then go and look at inner tube i often find more than one hole in the tube . Like Cubobelin i had problems with sticking patches or rather patches coming unstuck some time later. I soon learned to deflate tire with valve at the top. They say it will seal a hole up to 3mm thats quite large, i think it just might do that . This all said i would recommend them.

Worked for me on 700 x 23s when I had a couple of visitations. But there's a weight penalty and the gunk really messes up a presto valve making it hard to top up with air. So hard in fact that I reverted to normal tubes on my bikes and Marathon Pluses on one in particular (which of course is prevention rather than cure), although there's a weight penalty there too!
