Thanks CCTB I don't have a GPS program and I guess that's why I couldn't open the file but the web link worked fine. Impressive max speed by the way:eek: I feel a little more effort required come the spring

Don't worry too much about speed on these rides, CC Ecosse's motto is "nobody gets left behind". The CC rides are not like club runs with a set speed where you either hang on or get dropped... We are also not snobbish about road bikes vs. hybrids, as long as you are reasonably competent and happy to go at the pace of the slowest rider, you'll be most welcome (when we start the rides again ...)

Question to HLaB - I'm curious now: was that one of the official rides, or were you following one of the routes by yourself (at your own greyhound speed? ...

Its labelled as a CC ride, its a long way back but I think that was the day you met us at Gifford and Scook, Sleekitcollie and me headed up the rigg. If I'd been on my own the average would have been higher (but as T says no one gets left behind and I and others will lower their pace appropriately) but my top speed probably would have been lower; I'm a descending wuss

Edit: the last CC ride was an enjoyable jaunt down to the borders I think.
