I see that a German speed skater has had a ban upheld, without a positive test. This on the basis of the biological passport values proving that her anomalous readings could not have occurred as a result of some form of illness or condition. The only cause left was some form of blood doping like micro dosing.

Now I am not naieve(sp?) enough to believe that the passport program will end doping, but it sure is another nail in the coffin of cheats. Here's hoping that UCI/CAS take the same stance for cycling.

And yet a podium finisher from this year's TdF published a set of blood figures that showed a nice steady rise in Hct and Hgb AFTER each rest day and not a word was raised? The UCI don't want to end doping, they only want to protect their golden eggs. Well done to speed skating for starting at the top rather than messing about at the bottom.
