Thought I'd share this with you.

Whilst in my ride today, it was a beautiful day, warm, wall to wall sunshine, clear blues skies and everyone was out indulging in their own recreation.

Also my fist attempt at uploading a video, from my Christmas pressy that wifey bought me.

every week, usually on manchester road near burnley / rawtenstall, once saw them outside a pub in haslingden. once the old horse n trap was seen legging it thru crawshawbooth at full tilt (surprisingly scary) without a driver!! never seen that particular horse since. most times it's a 2 wheel trap but sometimes a cart, sometimes 2 traps and nags.

You're right P.I.Spain, Gypsies are about the only ones in the UK you're ever likely to see.
Thats probably why i took this one in Uruguay...it seemed so 'quaint'..

Nice video quality BTW, nice and smooth despite being off road. I'd be happy with that.

Cheers, the cam is fixed to the handle bars as the strap is too short to fit around my helmet (stop sniggering).

I shall be posting some more on YouTube, to hopefully give ya'll a flavour of Spain away from the coast.

Almost got caught in horse and cart traffic smash just outside my village last year.

And we don't have to put up with that irritating sunshine in January! So there. xx(

I saw a small horse and cart going up a hill in Spondon, just outside Derby a few weeks ago. Only ever seen it the once. Think i was on the bus though, not the bike :/

There's a farmer up in Yorkshire who still ploughs with Shire horses. I haven't got a source handy, but it was in (I think) the Dalesman mag a year or so back.
