Well, actually 29.2 according to my GPS, but I had done 7.29 in to work in the morning, so i'm claiming it as 30.
I appreciate its a warm-up compared to what some of you guys are doing, but I was quite chuffed with myself anyway.
Having been off the bike for almost a fortnight, the commuting from Wednesday onwards last week was proving tougher than usual. Then my biking buddy asked if I fancied a jaunt "on the way home" on Saturday. I had nothing specific planned so we went for it.
Average speed was poor, but we did stop for a few minutes a couple of times to watch the Fire Brigade practicing rescues, then some guy photographing a nice young lady on the river bank.
Anyway, I digress.....
All in all, a very enjoyable ride, taking in a few new roads.
