As the title says, did my1st 25mile bike ride, with a average pace of 14.5 mph, even reached 35mph on a nice downhill stretch of road. Now its just having confidence to do more miles, I keep thinking if say your 20 miles from home and have problems what do you do. I do carry a spare innertube+patches+tyre levers just in case.

Well done on your first 25 miler. 35 mph sounds scary! Too fast for me!

Make sure you know how to use the spares you're carrying - practise at home first  And don't worry - there's not much that can go wrong on a bike.

Nice going. I too hit 35mph today, which is the fastest speed I've ever recorded, no idea if I've gone quicker without a computer, but hey, who cares!

Well done Paul!

I fix the little problems and when all else fails Mrs B gets a phone call to rescue me.....think it's been twice this year

Well done, good distance, good pace. What you carry should see you through most things, add a phone and some money or a card to it and it'll get you home.

Hi,thanks for the replys. I always have my phone with me, I have the runkeeper app so it tracks on how far I go.
And as I live inbetween manchester and oldham there is plenty of hills to pick a course from, yesterday the highest I got was 979ft (thats what the runkeeper app said)
next goal 30 +miles:smile:
