I'm in the closing stages of a build on a Dolan Preffisio frameset. I'm donoring across a Sora triple groupset from my destroyed Scott Speedster. (I'd love to have dropped something like a 10 speed 105 set up on, but Ive got to cut my cloth accordingly.)
My question relates to the front mech cable which travels down the LH side of the down tube from the braze on to the cable guide under the bottom bracket.
As the cable gets towards the bottom bracket area its coming in at such an angle that its actually touching the frame.
I called Dolan and they said thats normal. I appreciate they know better than me.....but I thought I'd seek some 2nd opinions.
Any other Prefissio owners out there can comment ? What does your bike look like ?
Ive pulled it apart and put it back together several times now and its all cabled up correctly, just seems odd and an obvious area for wear and muck attachment (no matter how OCD I am about cleaning things)
I was thinking of taking the cable guide off and shimming it up another 2-3mm which shouldn't impact the shifting too dramatically, but its bugging me that I have to go that extra mile.
