Changed chain on the commuter this eve after doing a quick chain check. Then saw it was skipping when testing on the stand. Thought it was around the time for a new cassette as I seem to chew through chains.
Right then, grabbed spare new cassette swapped out, back on the stand, and it still skips!!! Penny drops, sticky link! Bit of lube and test ride, all's well.
Moral of the story, don't rush it, and think a bit before charging off.
