The same way you can hide their medication in a pile of mash and they will wolf everything down - except the pill - and look pleased with themselves too

I gave the dogs some left over chili con carne and rice today. They each wolfed the whole lot down in a split second, licked the bowls and went off for a drink of water. But they left all the red kidney beans. How on earth can they manage to separate them from the rest of the food in that length of time?

(Not that I'd want the to eat them, as the farting is bad enough as it is) ;)

My son used to save up all the grains from Onken yoghurt that was fed to him by our childminder which he spat out into an outstretched hand (covered with a tissue) of my wifes when he was safely in the family car and about to set off home. There was no visible evidence that he'd got a stash in his mouth and he could have a conversation unimpaired by the grain store - amazing....

I have equally strange guinea pigs sprout peelings are attacked with gusto but will they eat the vegatable whole. Will they hell! (and yes they have the same effect on guinea pigs as they have on humans)

When we had a guinea pig, we tried to grow some carrots one year, which failed spectacularly, producing tiny roots at the bottom of promising tops. When offered to the GP, she ate the tops, and left the carrots. Being snubbed by a guinea pig, the final insult...

Haha! I gave my dog tuna once and he ate it all in a flash but amazingly left all the sweetcorn :s . I have no idea how he has so much control with his tongue and do it so quickly.

I had a cat who when finishing off any left over mince and spud pie would lick the peas clean but leave them in the bowl. He had chilli once as well and I can report that it has the same effect on cats as it does on dogs ;)

One of myprevious Ginuea pigs would only eat carrots if they came out of a tin and she loved anything with jam on!
