Just thought I would ask you guys.
I had a service at Evans the other week and with some cable stretch and gears jumping I took it back to be looked at. The problem for some time has been that when I go up down a gear the rear derailleur doesn’t place on the cassette properly and rattles, I then have to go up a gear for it to stop and for each mid-range gear on the cassette which is annoying. Anyway I spoke to the mech on Sunday and he said he cannot get the gears 100% for some reason he didn’t know, the only thing with slight wear is the cassette which he said might fix the gears not being smooth but as far as I remember this has happened on and off since I got the bike about 2k ago.
Does this sound about right or could it be something else? I ask because I don’t want to replace if it’s not needed.
