Yes I do. Don't want to sound soppy or anything but I have 2 sisters who live in Mosman, Sydney. I write to them. I also put things in writing business wise. I always send someone a letter after a succesful meeting thanking them for their time etc... Could do it via e-mail but don't.

I love technology and have all the modern day type gadgets but I still like to do certain things.

Hardly ever text. Always pick up the phone. Can't stand text conversations.
Never download albums. Always go and buy them.
Still like cash in my pocket. Hate using cards to buy beers in a pub, paying for shopping less than 20/30 quid, buying tickets for the cinema etc....

Listen to me. I sound like an old fart. I'm only 36

Why do you pay to send letters to your sisters when you can email then for free, instantly?
I never write letters when I can email. Guess it's more of a young 'un thing

Because it's nice and I'm not a tight asre. 70p per letter once a month is not going to break the bank.

It's not like I never e-mail them.

I haven't written a letter for the best part of 12 years (haven't received one either )

Text, email etc is far too convenient but it does remove the personal touch.

it's great when you get a letter or a card through the post. cheers you up much more than email and if its a special letter you can keep it in a box of treasures.

I do send a few postcards, less intimidating to fill than a blank page.

I enjoy getting post* so work on the basis that no-one will write back if you don't write first.

*all my bills come electronically nowadays so I don't get bills on my mat anymore.

I still write when the situation demands though not often by hand normally typed with the exception of personal thank you cards which I write. But I type so much these days I find my writing is not good and it feels like hard work!

I love to write, but there's precious opportunity nowadays.

A handwritten letter has so much more meaning to the reciever than a text or email. Perhaps i'm in the minority..i love to see nice handwriting.

I don't have a car but I have a horse and carriage - it's so much nicer and the dung is good for the garden. I also deplore the use of email, I still use morse code to converse with my relatives:evil::blush:
