Does anyone ride with CTC Brighton & Hove?

Hove actually...
I'm still looking for a local club to ride with and know that CTC Brighton has its own rides each week. Am just wondering what these are like? Although I'm fairly fit and ride my bike frequently, i'm not sure how quickly people ride and how well I'd keep up (and the 60 miles distance in the summer puts me off somewhat).

I did email them once upon a time with my queries and they suggested I may want to try a Bricycles ride instead! Unfortuantely bricycles don't have any of their own rides at the moment.

Is there any club within Brighton with rides between 15-30 miles, suitable for a beginner, medium rider?

Any help much appreciated

Here for rides.
Used to ride with them in the late 90's. The current bricycles ride list describes many (all) the rides for the next month as 'CTC Rides' so they may be what you're after. They are the same rides as listed on the Brighton CTC site. Why not ring one of the ride leaders and ask them what allowance they make for newbies.

you could try asking on the CTC Forum as well?

I ride with the CTC (though not in your area so can't comment on Brighton CTC) the rides with our particular CTC group tend to be a stop at 11 some of the group go home at this point and the rest will carry on to lunch and then come back hence where you get the 60+ miles

If I return at elevenses I rack up around 30 -37 miles.

Check with the local group they should really welcome and encourage new members. They also should make allowances for new riders. If not then there will only be a finite time that the group can operate and eventually the group will just die off (literally).
