Does anyone own a Garmin edge touring or plus?

So anyone own a Garmin edge touring or the plus version?
I am saving for one of these devices, [probably the standard version, and want to know general opinions and any flaws.
Please do nit pick!
Would it be suitable for LEJOG?
Would it potentially be suitable for some touring in the rest of Europe?

Etrex 20/30 will give you all the same navigation and get over your thing about replaceable/rechargeable batteries.
Get one without maps and get free maps from Talkytoaster or one of the sites offering OSM.

ai but i want things like point of interests and the ability to put in a distance and it gives me routes of around that distance for training runs because I'm rubbish at thinking of training runs!

Sorry I missed that Ed, I see you have asked elsewhere though.
I think there will be sales after Christmas, could be better than this one or at least the same, this 30% off has been done last week, maybe twice I can't remember.

I am looking for the same. I was thinking of buying Dakota 20, it is bit cheaper. Then I can add city navigator map.
But I think it wont suggest me 3 different routes like in touring.

I got the Edge Touring for my Xmas and I can create maps on mapmyride and the export/import them to the Edge Touring. It was just a case of dropping the .gpx file into a folder on the Touring when it is connected to the PC.

Sadly not used it in anger yet as it had a dead pixel and is getting returned for a replacement.

True, not a great start but when I contacted them they were quick to offer a replacement.

I have had a PC monitor refused warranty for a single dead pixel before as most companies require at least 3 before it is an issue so I see it as a positive for Garmin support.
